Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a healthcare profession that helps individuals of all ages develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and meaningful activities, often referred to as “occupations.” Occupational therapists (OTs) work with people facing physical, cognitive, emotional, or developmental challenges, helping them overcome barriers that limit their ability to perform tasks at home, work, school, or in the community. They use a client-centered approach, creating customized interventions that may include adapting the environment, teaching new techniques, or utilizing assistive devices. The goal of occupational therapy is to enhance independence, improve quality of life, and enable individuals to participate fully in the activities that matter most to them.
